The AI & Research team supports faculty and researchers in exploring the role of artificial intelligence in scholarship by fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration around the opportunities, challenges and ethical considerations of integrating AI into research practices across campus.
Fostering Campuswide Dialogue on AI in Research
In Fall 2025, the team convened AI & Grants: Empowering Researchers in the Grant Writing Process, a panel showcasing practical ways faculty can harness AI tools to improve grant proposal development; and AI in Action: Faculty Research Panel with AI at App State, highlighting innovative ways faculty are integrating AI into their work.
Expanding Faculty Capacity for AI-Driven Scholarship
Looking ahead, the team is preparing workshops for next semester designed to build faculty skills and introduce AI tools that enhance research productivity. Through these initiatives, the team is building pathways to empower App State researchers with AI-driven methods that enhance discovery, efficiency and impact.
