AI Tools
New AI tools become available every day. It can be challenging to keep up with what is or is not allowed with your university email/account. These lists will grow as tools are piloted or under review. Data privacy and the details of licensing agreements are typically the primary concerns when reviewing whether a tool should be used at the university; however, your decision-making will always be the most important part of data safety. These lists include AI tools that have been reviewed and are currently available for use in one of the following ways:
- As a university-provided and supported tool
- Cost is covered and training and/or platform support is available.
- As a university-provided tool available upon request
- Limited licenses are available and/or some costs may apply.
- Other university-approved, but not supported tools
- Tools that have been through IT acquisitions and review and are approved for certain areas on campus, but are not available campus-wide. Costs apply for individual or group use. Training and support is not provided by members of our campus.
- Always follow appropriate departmental and purchasing procedures or license request processes.
- For more information on a software acquisition or purchase, visit its.appstate.edu/acquisitions-purchases.
